District 2-5A
1. Abilene
2. Abilene Cooper
3. Odessa Permian
4. Midland Lee
5. San Angelo Central
6. Midland
7. Amarillo Tacosa
8. Odessa
9. Lubbock Coronado
Coronado is the only Lubbock school left in 5A. The Mustangs went 1-9 last year with there only win coming against Lubbock, who's riding a 22 game losing streak dating back to 2009.Coronado has a good chance to win more than one game this year, but the Mustangs are still the worst team in 2-5A.
District 4-4A
1. Wolfforth Frenship
2. Lubbock Monterey
3. Hereford
4. Lubbock
5. Plainview
6. San Angelo Lake View
Lubbock has won 3 championships (1939, 1951,1952), but that was a long time ago. The Westerners are riding a 22-game winless streak and a 47-year playoff drought. 4-4A is an incredibly weak district. Lubbock, Lake View, and Plainview went a combined 2-28 last season. Lubbock will have a solid chance to break that streak this season. Frenship and Monterey should easily go 1-2.
District 2-3A
1. Lubbock Estacado
2. Seminole
3. Lubbock Cooper
4. Shallowater
5. Andrews
6. Levelland
Estacado is the favorite to when this distract. Their offense is dangerous with runningback Robert Johnson in the backfield. Johnson ran for 2,230 yards and 30 touchdowns last season. Cooper is just a solid team. With their tough offensive line and stellar defense, the Pirates should take the last playoff spot.
